A Day of the Dead ceremony at a Oaxacan cemetery, an Indonesian flower market at dawn, a fog-shrouded landscape seen out the window of a speeding taxi outside Beijing – such experiences inspire me to pick up my camera again and again. My travels have served as a rich backdrop for my photography; wherever I am in the world I seek out hidden views, aiming to capture uncommon perspectives.

In recent years, I have found that the techniques of digital photography have lent a new focus to my work, creating endless possibilities to remember and re-imagine memorable experiences.

I worked for Hewlett Packard for 30 years and travelled extensively throughout Asia. During my formative years, I was very interested in photography and basically took a lot of not-so-good images. During the past 8 years, I have been studying photography and taking workshops to hone my skills and improve my eye. I live on Bainbridge Island, Wa. with my wife. Life is good!!
